Curtis William Biddle

June 25, 1965 – October 18, 2018

Curtis William Biddle, 53, Sheridan, passed away Thursday morning, October 18, 2018 surrounded by his family at his sister’s home in Indianapolis. Born June 25, 1965 in Noblesville, he was the son of Dwain V. Biddle and Cheryl M. (Young) Biddle-Johnson.

Curtis grew up in Sheridan and attended Sheridan High School. One of his nicknames he garnered over his life was “Mighty Mouse.” That may have come from his favorite cartoon, but it fit him to a tee just the same. Curtis was a man of courage and determination, and a fighter in just about every sense of the word. Never one to shy away from hard work, Curtis was a truck driver for various moving companies over the last 30 years. He was currently working with Allied Moving and Storage for the last decade. He was also a dedicated member of Thompson Road Christian Church, where he was involved with many of their community projects.

Curtis also had a real love for sports, especially target shooting and NASCAR, following Earnhardt’s – both Jr. and Sr. – careers like it was his job. However, all other distractions, life events, family commitments, even TV programs that were currently being watched by someone else would come to a grinding and very abrupt stop when Thursday Night Football was on. It didn’t matter one iota what else was going on at the time. When it was time for Thursday Night Football, IT WAS TIME FOR THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL!!! He loved his Colts, as long as they were winning, and sometimes even when they didn’t. He also enjoyed getting in a quick camping trip whenever he could find the time.

“Mr. Funny Man,” as he was affectionately referred to by his sister, is survived by his father Dwain Biddle and stepmother Vicki A. Biddle, Avon; three sons, Brandon Vandamme, Austin Vandamme and Chance Bishop, all of Indianapolis; his stepson, Seth Vandamme, Veedersburg, Ind.; two daughters, Skilar Vandamme and Caroline Bishop, both of Indianapolis; four brothers, Dwain Biddle, Jr. and Lonnie Biddle, both of Pensacola, Fla., Justin Biddle, Indianapolis, and Matthew Biddle, Chicago; one sister, Lesia Biddle, Indianapolis; and one grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his mother; his daughter, Chyenne Biddle; and by his stepfather, Harry L. Johnson.

Services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Kercheval Funeral Home, 306 E. 10th St., Sheridan, with visitation from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Pastor Anthony Slutz will be officiating.
