Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.-05) held listening sessions in Cicero and Tipton on Saturday, providing an update on what is happening in Washington, D.C. and across the district.
Rep. Spartz addressed the multi-trillion-dollar spending packages that have advanced in the House of Representatives, the calamitous withdrawal from Afghanistan, the humanitarian and immigration crisis at the U.S. southern border, and her legislative work to address monopoly powers, rising health care costs, and criminal justice issues.
“It was great to host the listening sessions in Cicero and Tipton and hear from residents in these communities,” said Rep. Spartz. “Getting feedback, exchanging ideas, and updating my constituents directly is very important to me and central to representing my district well in Congress.”
Constituents in Cicero and Tipton shared their concerns about the state of public education, healthcare, and criminal justice systems, in addition to issues with election security, voting rights, cryptocurrencies, and current events in Afghanistan.
Rep. Spartz has now hosted listening sessions in Arcadia, Carmel, Cicero, Elwood, Fishers, Gas City, Indianapolis, Noblesville, Tipton, Westfield, and Zionsville.
