Cross country: Huskies sweep Charger Challenge

The Hamilton Heights cross country teams swept the girls and boys team championships last Thursday at the North Montgomery Charger Challenge.

The Huskies boys totaled 52 points to win their division. Rudy Bowman was the individual champion, clocking in with a time of 16 minutes, 45.4 seconds. Isaiah Heuer also helped out by placing third.

In the girls race, the Huskies scored 29 points and had five runners reach in the top 10. Allie Bushey led Heights with a second-place finish, with Amira Leer taking fourth.

GIRLS RACE

Heights runners: 2. Allie Bushey 20:16.5, 4. Amira Leer 21:14.1, 7. Kendall Moe 21:34.4, 9. Anna Monnin 21:52.6, 10. Ayla Madara 21:57.4, 25. Hattie Graham 24:08.5, 36. Selah Heuer 25:16.9.
