Construction crews will spend two days making repairs on Pleasant Street in front of the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds drive approach. The pavement repair is warranty work from the roundabout at 19th and Pleasant streets that has resulted in a dip in the road.
Construction work will begin Thursday to remove pavement that is settling and add flowable fill. A steel plate will be placed over the repair area to allow time for the fill to cure. Further investigation of the excavated area also will occur to try to determine any further causes to this problem. On Tuesday, Sept. 3, crews will patch the area with pavement.
During the two days of work, flaggers will be in place in the eastbound lane.
