Carmel Police Department (CPD) employees and their families recently shopped at the Carmel Meijer for the second annual Holidays with Heroes event.
Thanks to the generosity of the community, the department was able to shop for 47 children from 18 families. CPD employees were not able to shop with the children this year due to COVID restrictions; however, officers were able to build positive relationships by meeting with the children prior to the event and delivering the items that were purchased.
CPD thanked presenting sponsor, Shamrock Self Storage, as well as Meijer, Carmel FOP Lodge 185 Indiana, Carmel Rotary, and everyone else who donated this year.
