The Coxhall Guild invites you to a Kite Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 26 at Coxhall Gardens in Carmel.
The Coxhall Guild is playing host to this free kite festival along with the Hoosier Kiteflier’s Society, which will have experienced members at the event flying colorful kites of all shapes and sizes in the southwest field of the park.
The event will also feature two Space & Flight Shows by Professor Steve at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., musical performances by the Bach to Rock music school, stories about Kite Festivals in India told by Gita Kapur, as well as several vendor and concession booths, including the Carmel Firefighters along with a firetruck.
At least 500 pre-registered guests will attend, and the Coxhall Guild is already planning its second annual event for next April.
In the event of inclement weather, updates will be posted at coxhallguild.com/kite-festival 24 to 48 hours in advance. The hope would be to move some of the activities to the conference room in the mansion located on the property.
