COVID-19 case confirmed at Noblesville High School

Affected individual attended athletic practice

A confirmed case of COVID-19 has been discovered at Noblesville High School. According to district officials, the individual in question has not attended school, but did attend an NHS athletic practice.

The large majority of staff and students were not directly exposed, do not have an increased risk of COVID, and will not be impacted by this confirmed case.

Noblesville Schools’ health safety protocols were designed to address positive cases when they occur, and officials say they’re working in close partnership with the Hamilton County Health Department.

All parents and staff members at NHS have been made aware of the confirmed case. Noblesville Schools was able to quickly contact trace, and individuals who have had a direct exposure have already been contacted personally and are isolating at home.

Noblesville Schools says its new procedures (health monitoring, social distancing, assigned seating, cohort groups) are designed to support contact tracing and containment when a confirmed case of COVID occurs, and district officials say those procedures worked as intended.
