Two Nickel Plate Express couples spent their Valentine’s Day spreading the holiday love on the Uncorked Express Friday evening.
(Above) Jeff and Kathy Cox celebrated 30 years of marriage last summer by renewing their wedding vows on the Nickel Plate Express with family and friends. Jeff and Kathy work as coach attendants together and make a great customer service team on the train.
(Below) Jay and Jennifer Harmon met while working on the railroad for the former operator in Noblesville, the Indiana Transportation Museum. They are the only married engineer couple on the line! The couple can frequently be seen operating Nickel Plate Express excursions. Jay operates and trains new engineers on the organization’s lead diesel locomotive, while Jennifer handles the smaller 50-tonner, affectionately dubbed “the little engine that could.”
