Hamilton County’s Workforce Recovery Task Force will hold a first-of-its-kind virtual job fair on Thursday, July 9. The exciting one-day event is meant to connect those who have recently lost their jobs during the pandemic with Hamilton County companies looking to hire.
“Believe it or not, there are still good jobs out there and plenty of companies still hiring,” said Carol Sergi, Executive Director of the Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation (HCEDC). “What a great way to safely connect them with those who are unemployed or underemployed due to the virus.”

A generous grant by Duke Energy’s Economic Development Relief Fund will underwrite the cost of the fair which was set up by Hamilton County’s Workforce Task Force. The presidents of the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, OneZone Commerce and the Westfield Chamber of Commerce are all members of the Task Force, as are leaders from Ivy Tech Noblesville, Work One, Helmer Scientific, and the Hamilton County Workforce Innovation Network (HCWIN). County Commissioner Mark Heirbrandt and County Councilor Amy Massillamany are also key participants.
“This interactive experience promises to be like nothing employers or employees have ever experienced before,” said Rob Kneberg, HCWIN Executive Director. “Participants can upload a resume before the event and then chat virtually with a variety of companies on the actual day. Resume writing assistance will also be available – all online.”
