The Fishers boys golf team won the Danville Invitational at Twin Bridges Golf Club for the third year in a row on Saturday.
The Tigers carded a team score of 307. Caleb Bopp was the individual runner-up, with a one-over par 73. Bryce Robertson took third place with a 74, while Davey Acres tied for fifth with a 78. Other scores were Dylan O’Daniel 82 and Will Schade 85.
Hamilton Southeastern was the team runner-up with a score of 320. Mekheil Garcia also tied for fifth place individually with a 78. Other Royals scores were John Cherry 80, Daivic Akala 81, Sam Smith 81 and Tyler Lacy 86.
Fishers and Southeastern will meet at Sagamore Golf Club on Tuesday for the Mudsock dual meet.
Westfield’s varsity team won the Warsaw Invitational on Saturday.
The Shamrocks posted a team score of 305, eight strokes ahead of Penn’s 313. Junior Drake Biggs played a solid back nine to lead Westfield; he finished with a 75. Senior Ethan Lutz scored 76, senior Evan Bone 77 and sophomore Timmy Leonard 77.
The Shamrocks’ junior varsity team placed third at the Richmond Varsity Golf Invitational, which took place Saturday at the Elks Country Club.
Westfield carded a 334. Sophomore Colin Nixon led the ‘Rocks with an 81, followed by sophomore Hunter Cook 83, junior Luke Snyder 84, freshman Nolan Hall 85 and freshman Brett Barnes 85.
Westfield will play Carmel and Cathedral Tuesday, with the varsity at The Hawthorns and the JV at Brookshire.
Carmel was also a tournament winner on Saturday, finishing first at the Highland Invitational at Highland Golf Club.
The Greyhounds scored 292, 10 strokes ahead of Zionsville’s 302. Nick Dentino and Jack Crawford each carded 72s, followed by Luke Prall 73, Cole Harris 75, Andrew Harvey 76 and Clay Stirsman 79.
Noblesville won the inaugural Evansville Mater Dei Invitational on Saturday, at Victoria National Golf Club.
The Millers carded a 312. Clay Merchent was the individual medalist with a score of 68, winning in a playoff. Other Noblesville scores were Joe Whallon 78, Chris Scheib 81, Jacob Deakyne 85 and Jaxon Stutz 88.
Guerin Catholic scored a 316 at the tournament. Connor McNeely led the Golden Eagles with a 76, followed by Ty Gingerich 79, Andrew White 79, Keaton Modleski 82 and Ben Burgan 82.
