Ward was appointed to serve on the GIS Subcommittee, Information Technology Standing Committee, Resilient Counties Advisory Board, and the Rural Action Caucus. He was also named to a leadership position as Vice Chair of the Water Subcommittee. The appointments were made by NACo President Denise Winfrey, Board Member, of Will County, Ill.

“It’s an honor to be chosen to serve on these committees and to be able to bring back to Hamilton County what I have learned by doing so,” Ward said. “It’s important to make sure local and county issues are heard at the federal level. Through these appointments and the strength of NACo, Hamilton County has a seat at the national policy table.”

In addition to his seat on these committees, Ward continues to serve on the NACo Board of Directors and the Environment, Energy and Land Use Steering Committee.
