County Parks & Recreation offers new outdoor adventures summer camps

Hamilton County Parks and Recreation is expanding its summer camps to include outdoor adventures that will take place in the county’s largest park – Strawtown Koteewi Park.

As part of the new programming, registered youth ages 11-14 will be provided the unique opportunity to enjoy horseback riding, arial trail challenges, canoeing, fishing, and even archery.

During each of the three sessions being offered, campers will spend part of the day exploring the amazing park, the Taylor Center of Natural History, and White River and then experience exciting adventures facilitated by the Hamilton County Parks Adventure Area operators.  Details related to the camp sessions follow:

  • Session 1: July 19-22, 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; ages 11-14; cost: $150
  • Session 2: July 26-30, 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; ages 11-14; cost: $150
  • Session 3: Aug. 2-6, 10 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.; ages 11-14; cost: $150
