County Parks closes playgrounds

Parks, public restrooms remain open

For the health and well-being of the community, playgrounds in all Hamilton County Parks and Recreation Parks are NOW CLOSED until further notice.

The department regrets the inconvenience this may cause families and children and hopes everyone understands these difficult decisions are being made to safeguard the health of the community during the COVID-19 outbreak. Parks and restrooms will remain open, and increased cleaning and sanitation measures are being taken multiple times every day.

Isolated recreation, such as hiking trails and nature play in the parks may still be enjoyed, but CDC-issued precautions regarding social distancing of at least six feet should be taken when in the park, and especially when using the park restroom facilities. A list of precautions provided by the CDC can be viewed online at this link.

Park staff look forward to the time when they will be able to reopen the playgrounds and facilities for the enjoyment of the community and appreciate your patience and support at this time.
