County’s second case of COVID-19 confirmed
On Wednesday evening, Hamilton County officials conducted a Facebook live broadcast to update residents on the coronavirus outbreak.

During the broadcast, officials confirmed two Hamilton County residents have now been diagnosed with COVID-19. Chris Walker with the Hamilton County Health Department refused to comment on what cities the two individuals reside in.
Emergency Management Director Shane Booker announced the Hamilton County Commissioners have issued an emergency declaration. The declaration activates the county’s comprehensive emergency management plan. The declaration also activates the Hamilton County Emergency Operation Center, which will work to support each of the county’s municipalities.
Commissioner Christine Altman announced the courthouse will be closed to any individual that exhibits signs of illness.
