County long-term care facilities see 11 die of COVID-19

Hamilton County Health Department Administrator Barry McNulty has released information indicating 11 deaths related to COVID-19 have occurred at Hamilton County long-term care facilities.

The county, in a statement issued to the Reporter, said, “This is not unexpected as our most vulnerable populations reside in our many long term care facilities. All facilities have instituted infection control measures and are constantly monitoring residents and staff for symptoms of COVID-19.”

As of Wednesday, a total of 27 people have died of COVID-19 in Hamilton County. A total of 510 people have tested positive for the virus.
