County Health Administrator Barry McNulty passes away

The Hamilton County Health Officer and the Hamilton County Health Board have announced the passing of Barry McNulty, Administrator of the Hamilton County Health Department.

McNulty started serving as an Environmental Health Specialist on Oct. 2, 1987, and became the department administrator in 1996. He was a Registered Environmental Health Specialist and served Hamilton County with distinction and respect on numerous advisory boards and associations during his tenure.

Under Mr. McNulty’s 33 years of leadership, the Hamilton County Health Department has become one of the most respected local health departments in the State of Indiana.

    I am shocked and saddened by the loss of Barry. My sincere condolences to his family. He was a talented professional who led Hamilton County Health Dept. with skill and compassion for his staff. As an Environmentalist with Johnson County, we all knew he was excelled in his leadership. He will be missed.

    Barry was a great person. I served with him in the beginning of The Beekeepers of Indiana. He helped unite Indiana beekeepers. He also made me become a better leader and person. I will miss a good friend. My thoughts are out to his family. Please,if you need anything. I am here for you!!!!! All of us love you.
