There were champions from all over Hamilton County Saturday at the Hoosier Crossroads Conference indoor track and field meet, which took place at the University of Indianapolis.
All four schools had at least one individual champion at the event. In the team standings, Avon won the boys meet, with Zionsville triumphing in the girls meet.
The Fishers and Noblesville boys teams each got two event victories. Travis Hickner paced the 3200 run, leading a 1-2-3 Millers finish. Blake Hipkiss placed second and Cole Kimmel was third. Andrew Herman won the high jump as well.
Meanwhile, the Tigers swept the 4×800 and distance medley relays, helping Fishers to a runner-up placing in the team standings. The Tigers scored 91 points, behind only the Orioles’ 97.5.
Hamilton Southeastern’s Noah Malone won the 60 dash event, while Westfield was victorious in the 4×200 relay.
In the girls meet, Fishers picked up two event wins. Alison Casey was first in the pole vault, and freshman Ella Scally won the long jump, with Katie Folta taking second.
The HSE girls also got a victory, in the 4×400 relay. Noblesville finished second in the 4×800 relay. Westfield had a pair of runner-up finishes, from Haley Boehm in the 60 hurdles and from Zoe Pentecost in the shot put.
