Hamilton County Coroner Jeff Jellison has announced the hiring of four deputy coroners.
Jellison said his department received nearly 50 applications for recent vacancies within the office.
“We had a large pool of applicants with very qualified and diverse range of experience,” Jellison said.
The new deputies began July 13 and are currently undergoing their field training in preparation of attending the state-mandated coroner certification in September.
Brad Corbin
Corbin is a 25-year veteran of the Anderson Fire Department. He served as Captain, as well as a member of many specialty teams including Dive/Rescue, HAZMAT, and High Angle Rescue team. During his professional career, he received numerous awards including a Medal of Excellence for Valor/Heroism. He also serves as Special Deputy with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office and has prior Deputy Coroner experience with both Madison and Delaware counties.
Bradley Craig
Craig is a graduate of Stratford Career Institute and comes to the coroner’s office with a long history of law enforcement, most recently as Deputy Sheriff for the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. He previously served as volunteer Deputy Coroner for Hamilton County from 1998 to 2002. He has received numerous awards including Medal of Valor and DUI Enforcement Officer of the Year (three times). He resides in Carmel.
Scott Wilber
Wilbert has his associate’s degree in paramedicine and is working toward an associate’s degree in criminal justice. He has experience as a firefighter/paramedic and fire investigator with White River and Lapel fire departments. He performed continuing education and CPR instruction for Midwest Ambulance Service. He served in the Security Forces for the United States Air Force at Lackland & K.I. Sawyer Air Force Bases.
Joseph Bradley
Bradley graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University with an associate’s degree in criminal science. He served four years with the United States Marine Corps as Infantryman in Montgomery, Ala. He currently works as a Code Compliance Administrator for the City of Noblesville, where he is a resident.
