Hamilton County, along with the cities of Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and Westfield, will pay its respects to those who have lost their lives this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic at a vigil on Saturday, March 13 in downtown Noblesville.
Dubbed a “Night of Reflection,” city and county officials will light a luminary in honor of every Hamilton County resident who has passed away from the virus since its arrival last year. The public is strongly discouraged from attending the vigil in person. Instead, they’re encouraged to place battery-operated candles in their windows to show their support.
Free candles can be picked up at any Hamilton County library as well as the following locations. One candle will be distributed per household while supplies last.
- Cool Creek Nature Center, 2000-1 E. 151st St., Carmel
- Fishers Parks Office, 11565 Brooks School Road, Fishers
- Monon Community Center, 1195 Central Park Drive West, Carmel
- Noblesville Parks, Forest Park Inn, 701 Cicero Road, Noblesville
- Sheridan Clerks Office, 506 S. Main St., Sheridan
