Indiana State Treasurer Kelly Mitchell paid a visit to the Hamilton County 911 Call Center Wednesday to talk about new training being made available to 911 operators. The visit is a part of a month-long tour of the state’s top 25 call centers utilizing “Text-911 Indiana.” Indiana is among the first 10 states to provide texting to 911. One of the unique features of Indiana’s Text-911 system is its ability for dispatchers to text back.
