Fishers’ Nickel Plate District Amphitheater (NPD AMP) and MOKB Presents have announced the first two concerts for the venue’s annual summer concert series: Sam Barber on Saturday, June 7 and Chase Rice on Saturday, June 14. Tickets for both shows are on sale now at npdamp.com and mokbpresents.com.
Fishers has evolved into a strong concert and live entertainment market with the addition of its new world-class arena and the continued growth of the popular outdoor Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. Both venues have helped propel the market as a must-play city on the concert circuit welcoming hundreds of thousands of fans each year.
About Sam Barber
Sam Barber was raised on a farm in a small town in southeast Missouri surrounded by a supportive family and an abundance of friends. Most of his childhood was devoted to athletics where he learned many lessons such as the importance of a team, practice, discipline, respect, and hard work.
Music has not always been Barber’s passion, and as a child, he never participated in music class or music performances. His music journey has been completely unplanned and his success continues to astound him. When he was 16, he picked up his great-grandfather’s Gibson, out of tune with five strings, and fell in love with the art of playing. He soon learned that he also had the God-given talent to sing along.
Barber’s vision is to continue to grow and become stronger as a vocalist and songwriter. He wants to deliver songs that people feel in their soul. Above all, he wants to stay true to his faith, the man he truly is, and the type of music he wants to make without boundaries or conforming.
Since releasing Drowning in March, Barber’s social reach has soared past half a million followers and garnered over 1.5 million monthly listeners on Spotify. He has hit the global viral charts and reached No. 1 in the U.K., Australia, Ireland, and more. Visit sambarbermusic.com and fisherslive.com for more information.
About Chase Rice
With more than 2.6 million albums sold and over 2.8 billion total streams, plus a legion of passionate fans at his high-energy concerts across the globe, Chase Rice has established himself as a powerful force in Nashville and beyond. With independent album Go Down Singin’ available everywhere now as the follow-up to the critically acclaimed I Hate Cowboys & All Dogs Go To Hell, and both brought together on brand new offering Fireside Sessions, Rice’s sound continues to evolve to reflect the realities of his life, from emotional reckoning to an admiration of the American West.
The new music serves as a follow up to his three-part project, The Album, which featured his latest Platinum-certified No. 1 hit, “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen.” and the Platinum-certified Top 10 hit “Lonely If You Are.”
This is the same gravelly-voiced Chase Rice fans first fell in love with years ago – but better, freer; unbeholden and uninhibited. The new music builds upon the success of his sophomore album, Lambs & Lions, which featured the 3x Platinum, two-week chart topper “Eyes On You” – Rice’s first No. 1 as an artist and the most-streamed song of his career. Lambs & Lions followed Platinum-certified Ignite the Night, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums and No. 3 on the all-genre chart, producing a pair of Top 5 hits; Platinum-certified “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and Double Platinum “Ready Set Roll.” In addition to guesting on sold-out stadium shows with Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks, Rice served as direct support on Dierks Bentley’s 2024 Gravel & Gold Tour and consistently sells out venues on his own headlining tours across the U.S. and beyond.
