The Westfield Washington Public Library and Westfield Washington Township Trustee broke ground on their new 55,000 square-foot building on Thursday. This new collaborative space will be a centerpiece in the heart of Westfield’s expanding downtown and has been nearly a decade in the making. At the ceremony, the trustee’s office collected new hats and gloves for Open Doors Food Pantry.

so does this place have a location? Downtown Westfield is ind of generic
Library OK. Trustee’s office is just another fleecing of local taxpayers on behalf of a local outdated form of Government Waste & expenses…Can refer all to the Bipartisan Kernan Shepard report which suggest the elimination of all Township Government as a result of being wasteful and extremely ineffective, outdated and very wasteful…Consider in Hamilton County their are 9 townships that all have offices,Trustees and boards that are all paid in excess of any value received..Example is Noblesville that pays Board members in excess of $14,300 per year …Time spent in board meeting activities is less than 10 hours on average per year…Conclusion from the Bi-Partisan Report and from a previously serving board member is TOWNSHIP GOVT IS OUTDATED,INEFFECTIVE,NOT THRIFTY, IS VERY WASTEFUL and should be abolished…Certainly the need for a new expensive office building is not effective economical or needed !
@Steve – near Poplar and Park Streets
@Jim – The Kernan Shepard report would require action at the state level, not at the township level, to be enacted- although, as you note, it would eliminate the township level of govt. I believe it came out in 2007 – it feels like if the state was going to act, it would have by now.
