Noblesville’s Conor Daly announced on Tuesday that he has found a ride for this year’s Indianapolis 500.
Daly will ride in a joint entry with Dale Coyne Racing and Thom Burns racing in a car that is sponsored by the United States Air Force. According to a release from DCR, Daly will drive the No. 17 car, which features a Honda engine and a Dallara chassis.
“As an American, this is a great honor and I couldn’t be more proud to drive this beauty,” said Daly on Twitter.
This will mark the fifth time that Daly will go for a spot in the 500. His rookie year was in 2013, where he finished 22nd. After not running in 2014, Daly has participated in every race since 2015.
