Conner Prairie will unveil a new permanent indoor exhibit called Makesmith Workshop at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11.
The 600-square-foot experience inside the museum’s Welcome Center will help teach daily visitors how to work with textiles, metal, wood, pottery and more. People will learn new, historic trade-related skills that they can apply to their lives today and discover new tools and how they’re used as they join the growing and popular maker movement.
