Congresswoman Victoria Spartz (R-Ind.-05) spent the day this past Monday connecting with the agricultural community in Indiana’s Fifth Congressional District.

Rep. Spartz toured Atlanta-based Beck’s Hybrids, one of the largest seed producers in the country, learning about new, innovative initiatives happening at their facility. She also met with the members of Indiana Farm Bureau from across the district, hosted by George Kakasuleff, President of the Hamilton County Farm Bureau Board, at the family farm in Cicero.

“As a farmer myself, I understand the importance of agriculture for Indiana and the real GDP produced by farmers. It’s always great to hear about the issues and perspective from the ground,” Spartz said. “I appreciate all the hard work the farmers do for our communities, state, and nation.”

Issues discussed included infrastructure, workforce, immigration, regulatory environment, taxes, sustainable agriculture, and rural broadband.
