Have you ever wanted to be part of a community art project? This Saturday’s Allied Solutions’ Meet Me on Main in the Carmel Arts & Design District will give you that opportunity.

Come to the breezeway next to Sub Zero at 111 W. Main St., Suite 130, for a chance to take part in the creation of a beautiful mosaic project that will ultimately be placed in Carmel for thousands to see in the future.

The mosaic, which is described as a “butterfly mural” by artist Nancy Keating, will be put together piece-by-piece under the direction of Keating – but with your hands as an authentic community art project is created once again in the District. You can take part from 5 to 9 p.m. this Saturday, July 10, as part of the Meet Me on Main event.

Meet Me on Main is the City of Carmel’s monthly “second Saturday” event along Main Street and Range Line Road to highlight local galleries, restaurants and design-related businesses in the Carmel Arts & Design District. Art galleries and businesses will feature special events to help you experience the wonderful art-related and design-related features in the District. Live music will play in the streets, and this month brings the return of the traditional prize giveaways that have been on hiatus since the pandemic.

In addition to the community mosaic project, there will be an opportunity to register for three $100 gift prizes by visiting the 10 galleries and dropping your name and contact information into a special drawing that will take place on Monday, July 12. The prizes will include awesome features from District businesses. Be sure to visit as many galleries as possible to increase your chance to win.

Indiana Artisan Gallery

The Indiana Artisan Gallery will feature box camera photography artist J.D. Nolan and his collection of “large-format” photographs. He will be available for questions pertaining to his unique process of creating these beautiful images.

Carmel Arts Council

The Carmel Arts Council will feature Joanne Roeder in its garden at Main Street and Veterans Way. Joanne, a talented artist and a juried member of the Hamilton County Artists Association, plans to demonstrate her love of florals and oil paints. Children are also invited to paint their own florals alongside Joanne using a special mix of paint.

CCC Gallery & Gifts

The CCA Gallery & Gifts shop will feature the colorful art of Deb Achgill, fused glass artist, along with Robert Wallace, photographer.

All Things Carmel

All Things Carmel will feature samples of “summer brews,” adult beverages from the Carmel Brews & Barrels Trail, to help kick off the warm summer months ahead.
