Bea Wiles, Chief Operating Officer at Community First Bank of Indiana (CFB), has been honored with the Service Member Patriot Award for her support of CFB’s Compliance Officer, James Davis, who is an active member of the Army National Guard.
The award was presented on Wednesday by David Shearer who represented Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), which is a Department of Defense agency that seeks to promote a culture in which all American employers support and value the military service of their employees.
“Having to take time away from work for military obligations can be stressful, but Bea and the bank make it easier than I ever expected,” Davis said. “I really appreciate the entire team’s willingness to cover my tasks and action items in my absence. I’m grateful to be encouraged to excel in my military career and share some of these skills with our team. I’m really honored to work for such a supportive company.”
The Service Member Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families and granting leaves of absence if needed.
“CFB supports all of our employees, especially our military personnel,” Wiles said. “I appreciate the values, leadership, and skills James brings to our organization. I feel that being supportive and flexible is a win-win for the Bank, James, and the Military.”
