Community First Bank (CFB) of Indiana partnered with Hedges, a local nonprofit consulting firm, to offer free training to nonprofit leaders serving Hamilton County throughout 2024.

The second session on Building & Evaluating Programs wrapped up on Tuesday at the Delaware Township Community Center. All sessions are a blend of teaching and attendee engagement. One attendee shared, “I enjoyed this session and thought the combination of instruction and hands-on engagement was beneficial.”

This training series is the result of a $12,000 investment from CFB after hearing firsthand how much high-caliber training meant to local nonprofit leaders and after surveying the group to identify the most impactful topics. Hedges’ expertise matched up perfectly to the requested topics.

“These funds will be used to put on meaningful, requested programming for this group of dedicated Nonprofit Leaders,” CFB President & CEO Rob Blume said. “They work tirelessly each day to advance their organizations’ missions and we’re thrilled to come alongside them with these resources. Topics will include building corporate partnerships, building and evaluating programs, creating competitive grant proposals, activating board committees, protecting organizations from fraud, and more.”

Hedges President Erin Hedges said CFB’s investment will help build capacity for the program.

“Hedges has been a trusted partner since 2002 to more than 150 leading nonprofits, foundations, corporations, and public entities in Indiana and beyond,” Hedges said. “We deeply appreciate Community First Bank’s commitment to building the capacity of local nonprofit organizations by sponsoring these training courses and strengthening the community for years to come.”

Programming will continue through November. You can email communication@cfbindiana.com if you’d like to be notified when registration is open for future sessions. To learn more visit CFBindiana.com/nonprofit-learning-series.
