Dear Editor,

2020 is an unprecedented year for many reasons. So many aspects of our lives have changed, but one thing remains: Your right to vote. Nov. 3 is Election Day, and it is important to mark your calendar or make a plan to vote early.

In the 2016 General Election, 158,036 people voted in Hamilton County. While it is a remarkable number of people, it is only 68.5 percent of all registered voters in our community. Every vote makes a difference.

Hamilton County has in-person early voting, absentee voting, and Election Day voting options for this year’s election. If you have requested an absentee ballot, please remember to deliver it to the Hamilton County Elections Office as soon as possible to ensure the office receives your ballot. If you’d like to see a comprehensive list of voting options, please visit MarkHeirbrandt.com/2020-elections.

The right to vote is foundational to our freedom and democracy. Join me in voting for an even brighter future for Hamilton County this election season.

Mark Heirbrandt

County Commissioner
