The Indiana State Fair has a big Fab Four celebration planned for September.

Announced last Saturday, the State Fairgrounds will host a 60 Year Anniversary Celebration on Tuesday, Sept. 3 in the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The 1964 “Seems Like Yesterday’ event will feature a live listening session of the original audio from the 1964 performance, followed by a performance by the band 1964 performing the Beatles original set list.

General admission tickets are $5, the same price from the 1964 show, with $25 floor tickets available as well. All tickets are on sale now at indianastatefair.com. The special $5 general admission tickets are available while supplies last.

On Tuesday, Sept. 3 the below Fab Four activities will take place at the Indiana State Fairgrounds:

  • On the same date, 60 years to the day the Indiana State Fairgrounds will commemorate the band’s appearance.
  • The Same Venue (Indiana Farmers Coliseum) will be used that The Beatles performed in.
  • A special Beatles-themed art installation will be unveiled. The piece created by Indiana artist Cory Heimann is a large-scale Beatles themed permanent installation made out of Rubick’s cubes. Heimann is the creative director at Likable Art. A desire to stir up beauty drives his love for collaborating and creating. His favorite creations are his five boys in collaboration with his wife.
  • An Audio Playback of the actual show that took place in 1964: Fans will want to come early and participate in a pre-concert listening party in the venue where The Beatles performed. This will feature a playback of the actual show from 1964 that was broadcast over the airwaves at the time. Super high quality and not to be missed!

Followed by …

The same setlist and hits will be performed by 1964 The Tribute Live in Concert: Experience a Beatles concert the way it was performed over 60 years ago. “1964” focuses on the quintessential moment in history, when The Beatles actually played before a live audience. The Beatles toured the world in the early 1960s, but now only a precious few remain who actually saw them live – who actually felt the “mania” that brought them to world acclaim. Today, all that remains are a few scant memories and some captured images in pictures and on poor quality film and video. “1964” meticulously re-creates the “MAGIC” of those live Beatles’ performances with artful precision and unerring accuracy.

For those who never saw The Beatles live and always wanted to know what it must have been like, this is as close as anyone could possibly get to – FEELING the MAGIC! For over 40 years, “1964” has thrilled audiences with what is considered to be the most authentic and endearing tribute to The Beatles. This has been accomplished by a steady and consistent cast of talented professional musicians, who painstakingly recreate the look, feel, and note for note sound of an actual live Beatles performance.

Special on-site themed activations will also include:

  • Themed photo and selfie stations at the event
  • Themed music playing all-day throughout the event
  • Themed merchandise that has copy of the original ticket and poster artwork on them from 60 years ago

Fab food and drink options:

  • Hard Days Flight
  • Strawberry Fried Green Salad
  • Yellow Submarine Sandwich
  • Here Comes the Sun Punch Drink
