This Saturday, May 22, Fishers Parks and Recreation is opening the doors to the Maker Playground and to its new offices and headquarters at Hub & Spoke. The public is invited to come out between 2 and 7 p.m. with family and friends to get the first look at the organization’s new space.
Food trucks, a live local DJ, Mr. Kinetik, an RC racetrack demonstration by Riverside Intermediate School, an active pergola build from Studio M, and popping up the mobile skatepark will be featured.
Fishers Parks and Recreation also invites you to step inside the Maker Labs and 15,000 square-foot makerspace for more hands-on and take-home projects, including nail art with Fishers Parks, building and engineering with Snapology, assembly of a community mural with High Frequency Arts, carving an LED pendant with 1st Maker Space, and a robotics demonstration by the Fishers High School Robotics Team.
