Claudia Ann (Fribley) McCarty, Westfield, passed away in her sleep on January 29, 2020 at the age of 75. She was the daughter of Wayne and Phyllis (Hillery) Fribley, born July 16, 1944.
Claudia was a 1962 graduate of Warsaw High School, attended Indiana Central and later graduated from Purdue University with an Associate’s degree in business.
Claudia worked in life insurance for over 45 years. She loved to read, send greeting cards, spend time with her family and shopped for the best bargain she could find. Claudia was always taking care of others … something she did with kindness and compassion throughout her life. She was a member of the Carmel United Methodist Church, where she worked in the church nursery for over 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 34 years, Larry R. McCarty; and brother, Michael Fribley.
She is survived by her brothers, Paul Mark Fribley and John Fribley (Sandy); brothers-in-law Ken McCarty and James Marlin; sister-in-law Patsy Fribley; her twin children, Vaun McCarty (J.R. Hammack) and Vince McCarty (Allison); grandchildren, Victor McCarty (Chelsea), Caden McCarty, Hudson McCarty, Jason Hammack and Chris Hammack (Luiza Strickland Faro); and three great-grandchildren.

Claudia’s viewing and funeral will be held at Randall and Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville. Her viewing will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Sunday February, 2, 2020, with her funeral at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2020. A procession will follow to Summit Lawn Cemetery in Westfield, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
