Clarence Yeary

September 24, 1946 – March 17, 2025

We bid farewell to a humble and loving man, Clarence Yeary, born on September 24, 1946, in Ben Hur, Va. He loved sharing his stories of his childhood in Virginia, especially the time he spent with his Granny Collins. His life was a tapestry woven with threads of generosity, kindness, and profound love for his family. His golden heart stopped beating on March 17, 2025, leaving an unerasable mark on the lives of those he touched.

Clarence was a man of few words, but when he did speak, it was always from the heart. His wisdom and love for life were evident in his everyday actions, as he lived by the teachings of the Good Book. A dedicated worker, Clarence devoted many years to the auto manufacturing industry, retiring from Noblesville Casting Co. In his leisure, he found joy in the simplicity of life – woodworking, hunting, and reminiscing about his youthful adventures. The twinkle in his eye was never brighter than when he was surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Their calls brought him immense joy, and his legendary biscuits and gravy, coupled with tales of “the old days” and “old ways” from his time in Virginia, were a cherished tradition.

Clarence was a man deeply in love. His wife, Beth Yeary, was the light of his life and her passing left him longing for their reunion in the heavens. As poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge once said, “The love that lasts the longest is the love that is never returned.” We find solace in knowing that their union in the hereafter was a joyous one, complete with a list of heavenly adventures shared together.

Clarence leaves behind his son, Clarence (Susan) Yeary; daughter, Tamara Franklin; brothers, Rex (Linda) Yeary and Cecil (Joann) Yeary; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will treasure his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Stella Yeary; his beloved wife, Beth; his siblings, Gladys, Norma, Linda, and Chester Yeary; and his great-grandson, Kendrix James Adams.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at Hartley Funeral Homes, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, followed by a funeral ceremony at 1 p.m., with Mark Knapp officiating. For those who are unable to attend in person, a live stream will be available at my.gather.app/remember/clarence-yeary.

We warmly invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos of Clarence on the memorial page. As we remember this generous, humble, and loving man, let us celebrate his life and the love he shared with all of us.
