Christopher L. Dwigans

September 13, 1948 – February 1, 2020

Christopher L. Dwigans, 71, Westfield, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at his home. He was born on September 13, 1948 to Wallace and Clara (Raymer) Dwigans in Noblesville.

Chris proudly served in the United States Marines during Vietnam and was commandeered for outstanding service while in the Marine Corp. He worked for the United States Post Office. Chris enjoyed football, working on Sudoku puzzles, listening to music, and dancing, in his younger years. He liked going to swap meets, antique stores and garage sales, and was able to restore a 1940 Ford Coup.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Hurst) (Scolley) Dwigans, whom he married on April 4, 2014; his parents; his children, Wade (Amy) Dwigans, Brett (Danna) Dwigans, Laurie (James) Ogle, Debbie (Bob) Shock and Ed (Letha) Scolley; grandchildren, Blake, Brice, Ryan, Christian, Sebastian, Brooke, Lindsey, Jennifer, Trent, Jessica, Steven, Haleigh and James; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Don (Susan) Dwigans, Mike (Nancy) Dwigans and Scott (Becky) Bluck; and nieces and nephews, Andrea Vroebel, Amanda Farinella, Mitchel Dwigans, Dennis Dwigans and Michael Dwigans.

Chris was preceded in death by his sister, Lisa Gay; nephew, Brad Dwigans; and two great-grandsons, Aiden Gephart and Bennett Walker.

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Crownland Cemetery, 1776 Monument St., Noblesville.
