Thanks to Duke Energy, Atlanta lights up the night sky

The Town of Atlanta’s 2024 Christmas Tree Lighting was a success.

Thank you to everyone who came out to enjoy the festivities, and town officials have a special thank you to the Atlanta Christian Church and the Atlanta Wesleyan Church for volunteering their time to decorate and provide the meal, Santa and Mrs. Claus for bringing joy and cheer to everyone, BurgerHaus Productions for the fireworks display, Duke Energy for their contribution, and Jackson Township Fire for making sure everyone stayed safe, Andy Emmert and Luke Brown for putting up the street decorations and connecting the power, Ed Worl for his faithful volunteering and efforts to decorate and keep everyone warm during the event, resident Ron Stamps for helping set up the Shelter House, Council President Murry Dixon for his extra time and work spent stringing approximately 9,000 lights on the Town Christmas Tree, Jeff and Cheryl Titus for the tree that grows bigger and more beautiful each year, Hoosier Bin Company and Johnson Woodworking for their contributions toward this gathering, and each council member for their efforts.

The town looks forward to carrying on this tradition for many years.
