Westfield Police said a boy was taken to a hospital after being shot Thursday afternoon in an apartment complex.
Westfield Police Department Sgt. Robert Dine said in a news release that the shooting was reported about 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Scarlet Street. That’s in the Casey Acres Apartments complex just off Ditch Road north of State Road 32.
The boy was taken to an Indianapolis hospital. His condition was not known, Dine said in the release issued about 6:40 p.m.
No additional details were immediately available as of press time.
