Stewards of ChildrenÒ is a child sexual abuse prevention program developed by the national organization Darkness to Light. This program educates adults to prevent, recognize and react appropriately to child sexual abuse. This training program is designed for parents and any adults who work with children or adolescents. Stewards of ChildrenÒ is the only nationally available program scientifically proven to increase knowledge, improve attitudes and change child-protective behaviors.
Chaucie’s Place is a nonprofit child advocacy organization that works to prevent child sexual abuse and youth suicide through prevention programs for children, adults and school systems.
Chaucie’s Place offers two other prevention programs in addition to Stewards of ChildrenÒ: Smart Steps: A Body Safety Program for Children™, which teaches children that their bodies belong to them; they have the right to say “NO!” to unwanted touches from anyone; tell a trusted adult; and abuse is never their fault, and LifelinesÒ Youth Suicide Prevention Program.
