The Town of Cicero is asking its residents to consider making a donation to the Cicero Kayak and Canoe Launch project by visiting this website or calling the Cicero Parks Department at 317-984-3475.
The town has raised $3,175 of the $7,500 goal. If Cicero is able to raise $7,500 by Dec. 8, the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority will match that with a $7,500 grant.
The proposed Accessible Kayak and Canoe Launch would be located in Red Bridge Park near the Pier. The project would also include a new sidewalk and lighting, in addition to the launch itself. It would be open to the public and it would be the only launch like this on Morse Reservoir.
