Charles V. “Chuck” Durkee, 87, Noblesville, passed away on December 30, 2017 at Prairie Lakes Health Campus, Noblesville.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 13, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 19100 Allisonville Road, Noblesville. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on the same date and location. Randall & Roberts Funeral Homes has been entrusted with Charles’ care.
Charles was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., to Veron and Almeda Durkee on October 13, 1930. He went to high school at Central High School and graduated in 1948. He earned a certificate in finance and accounting from The University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School. Charles worked as Vice President of Sales for Blue Lustre Home Care Products, Indianapolis, for 10 years and owner of Car-a-Van and Portside Car Wash facilities in Noblesville for 27 years. He enjoyed travel, socializing with family and friends and wintered in Fort Myers, Fla., for 20 years. He received various department and public speaking assignments at congregations and conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Charles is survived by his wife, Barbara Durkee of Noblesville; daughters, Julie Miller of Noblesville, Janice Dunn of Elwood, and Charlene White of Fishers; and son, Joel Durkee of Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, Charles is survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
