Charles F. Gallimore, Jr., 78, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Saturday morning, April 18, 2020 at The Center for Hospice and Palliative Care in South Bend. Born June 23, 1941 in Marion, Ind., he was the son of the late Charles Franklin Gallimore, Sr. and Vontella “Bonnie” (Lhamon) Gallimore.
Charles had a kind and gentle personality. He loved participating in different day programs that were organized by his caregivers. Some of the programs involved going on special outings – the zoo and the art museum were two of his favorites places to visit. Charles also liked going shopping, whether he needed anything or not. No matter what the occasion, getting to socialize with his friends was always his favorite part of any activity.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, James Earl Gallimore.
Through the recommendation of our public health officials with regards to public health and safety, private family services will be held at this time. Pastor Harrell Wilson will be officiating.
Charles will be laid to rest at Hills Cemetery in rural Clinton County.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kercheval Funeral Home in Sheridan.
