Charges filed in Carmel Red Robin shooting

Charges have been filed in connection with a shooting that occurred outside the Red Robin restaurant in Carmel’s Clay Terrace.

The Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office announced that Trestan Miles, 22, Westfield, has been charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor.

On Friday, Carmel Police responded to a disturbance outside the Red Robin restaurant.  An investigation revealed two employees were involved in an argument when Miles pulled a semi-automatic handgun and fired three shots. Police say Daniel Estrada was injured in the altercation as a result of a gunshot.

Miles was charged with:

  • Pointing a Firearm (Level 6 Felony)
  • Carrying a handgun without a license (Misdemeanor)
  • Criminal Recklessness (Level 6 Felony)
  • Battery (Level 5 Felony)
  • Intimidation (Level 5 Felony)
