At the Jan. 29 Westfield Chamber of Commerce’s annual Lantern Awards Night, the Westfield Lions were selected as the top service club in Westfield for 2025. This is the club’s second time winning the award and underscores the club’s significant impact on the community.
The Westfield Lions are an extremely active organization, including performing numerous service projects in the area, raising funds for charities, and supporting the Westfield schools and their students. The highlights for 2025 include awarding over $41,000 to charities, individuals in need, and youth programs.
Conducting vision screenings for over 600 third graders, donating dictionaries to every Westfield third grader, sponsoring five middle school students on the annual class trip to Washington, D.C., and awarding $13,000 in scholarships are a few examples of the support provided to the schools and their students.
The Westfield Lions also performed hundreds of hours of service work, including volunteering at the Indiana Diabetes Youth Camp, the Colts Training Camp, the bi-monthly Gleaner’s Mobile Food Pantry events, and assisting the Westfield Kiwanis Club with their Avenue of Flags Project.
The list of service projects and recipients of the donations and grants goes on and on. The Westfield Lions embody the Lions Clubs International motto of “We Serve.” To find out more about the Westfield Lions and how you can be a part of the largest service club in the world, go to WestfieldLions.org.
