Experience Cinco de Mayo in a unique way this year with a one-of-a-kind train ride on Saturday, May 4. Passengers ages 21 and over are invited to board the historic train cars for an afternoon filled with tequila tasting, snacks, and quintessential views of northern Hamilton County.
During the 90-minute ride, passengers will enjoy sampling tequila from Don Pilar. Enjoy both an educational and entertaining ride as you learn about the nuances of Blanco, Reposado, and Anejo tequila varieties as you sample each distinct flavor profile.
Snacks for the ride will be provided by local catering company Cloud 9. Enjoy a Cinco de Mayo-themed snack box with chips, queso, and salsa. In addition to the tequila tasting, a variety of margaritas and beer will be available for purchase onboard the train.
“This Cinco de Mayo celebration offers a unique opportunity for our guests to relax and enjoy a special afternoon aboard the Nickel Plate Express while learning more about the types of tequila,” Nickel Plate Heritage Railroad Executive Director Emily Reynolds said. “We’re thrilled to partner with Don Pilar and Cloud 9 to create an unforgettable experience for our passengers.”
Two departure times are available for this one-day-only ride: 3 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on May 4. Due to the limited availability of tickets, advanced purchase is required. To secure your spot and for more information, please visit NickelPlateExpress.org.
