Cecil Wayne Yancey, 91, Noblesville, passed away on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Riverwalk Village. He was born on October 23, 1926 to Raymond and Della (Stewart) Yancey in Westfield.
Wayne proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. He retired after 38 years from Delco Remy as a line supervisor. Wayne was a lifetime member of the Fortville VFW Post 6904 and a member of First Christian Church of Noblesville. He loved to joke and had a great sense of humor. Most of all, Wayne loved his big family.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Yancey; children, Dan (Jane) Yancey, Pam (Jack) Taylor and Steve Yancey; step-children, Rick (Carol) Heflin, Pam (Dean) Kingerly, Greg (Christine) Heflin and Mike (Sheila) Heflin; sister, Edith Tate; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his six siblings.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Services with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
