Carolyn Kay Milam, 83, Noblesville, passed away peacefully at home on November 29, 2022, with her family at her side.
She was born on September 7, 1939, in Clarinda, Iowa, to Calvin and Helen (Alberry) Warrick. She attended schools at Clarinda and graduated with the Class of 1957 at Clarinda High School.
On May 12, 1962, she married the love of her life, George Paul Milam and she began her role as wife and homemaker. Living in Indiana she became employed at Erik’s Chevrolet in Kokomo, Ind. She worked there for over 38 years as their accountant and payroll lady.
She was an active member of United Family Wesleyan Church in Cicero. She loved helping at the Church, and friends and family said she would always put others first and would do anything to assist or help someone. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She loved to cook and bake and became an excellent cook. And she looked forward to sharing her culinary skills with family gatherings. She liked to watch cooking shows on TV. Other favorites were Westerns and Hallmark stories. On a personal note, she enjoyed getting her hair and nails professionally done.
Surviving her are her daughters, Cindy Lee Schutt of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Michele Rene Frick of Noblesville; sisters, Delores Lee Pearson of Denver, Colo., and Sandra Sue Prather of Clarinda, Iowa; four grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Troy Milam; granddaughter, Nicole Milam; sisters, Darlene Howe and Betty Wohler; plus brothers, Darrell, Darwin, Kenneth, Jack, Donald, and Larry Warrick.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Hartley Funeral Home Cicero Chapel, 209 W. Jackson St., Cicero, with burial to follow at Cicero Cemetery. Pastor Allen Brown will officiate. A time of visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of the services.
