Carmel’s Luke Prall ran away with the Boys Indiana Junior PGA Championship, which took place Wednesday and Thursday at Rock Hollow Golf Course in Peru.
Prall, an incoming senior for the Greyhounds and member of their state championship team, carded a six-under par 138 for the tournament. He fired a seven-under 65 during the Wednesday first round, making eight birdies, then shot 73 in the second round, with six birdies.
Two other Hamilton County golfers finished in the top five. Noblesville’s Nels Surtani, a senior-to-be at Park Tudor, placed third with a two-under 142. Surtani made four birdies in his first round of two-under 70, and two more in the second round on Thursday.
Westfield’s Andrew White, an incoming junior at Guerin Catholic, tied for fifth with a score of 147. White made four birdies in each round.
