Even though rain put a stop to Friday night’s Winter Games, the fun is still on today! Head over to Carter Green today for more ice-cold competition and fun at the Carmel Winter Games on the city’s ice rink, presented by Allied Solutions.

Whether you are signed up to compete or are a spectator, you won’t want to miss more non-skating competitions this afternoon.

What kind of competition? Picture big kids playing kid games on the ice, including “human curling,” an ice trike relay and “human hungry hippo” complete with inner tubes, laundry baskets and hundreds of balls. The skate-less competition, running from noon to 4 p.m., features corporate teams and groups of family and friends who have signed up to compete.

In addition to the action on the ice, the Ice at Carter Green will also feature a Live DJ from noon to 4 p.m. and a Meet the Mascots session on the ice from 1 to 3 p.m.

Visitors and competitors can also check out two local vendors – Rose & Lois selling coffee and hot drinks and Bier Brewery North selling their exclusive line of craft beers. If it gets a little chilly, don’t forget the City of Carmel has provided several heated and furnished “igloos” that are perfect to escape the cold. There is no charge and it is a first-come, first-served amenity.
