The Carmel girls tennis team swept Metropolitan Conference opponent No. 11 Center Grove 5-0 in a Saturday morning dual match.
Singles winners were No. 1 Leila Antony 6-2, 6-2, No. 2 Apurva Manis 6-0, 6-4 and No. 3 Franny Werner 6-1, 4-6, 6-0. Doubles winners were No. 1 Selena Liu and Lauren Littell 7-5, 7-5 and No. 2 Lara Stato and Katelyn Conley 6-1, 6-1.
Westfield won a hard-fought all-county dual meet with Noblesville on Saturday, 3-2 at the Shamrocks’ courts, improving to 2-1 for the season.
Westfield swept all three singles matches, which were won by No. 1 Chloe Kalis 6-2, 6-3, No. 2 Julia Gabennesch 6-0, 6-2 and No. 3 Emma Schwind 6-1, 6-3. The Millers won both doubles matches; No. 1 Alex Greer and Katelyn Decker were victorious 6-3, 6-4 win, and No. 2 Kaylee David and Sierra Leach won 6-7 (5), 7-5, 6-4.
