The Westfield boys golf team opened its season by taking on defending state champion Carmel on Wednesday.
The Greyhounds won the meet 156-158. Sophomore Timmy Leonard and freshmen Isaac Lutz led the Shamrocks with 39. Other scoring members of the team were junior Luke Snyder with 40 and sophomore Colin Nixon with 40. Westfield will be off for a week before teeing up on Tuesday April 9th in a three-way match with Hamilton Southeastern and Carmel.
