Dear Editor:

Elections are quickly approaching and again this year our local elections are very important to all of us in Hamilton County. Having lived in Hamilton County for over 40 years it has been wonderful to watch our county grow to what it is today. I sincerely hope you vote on June 2 and I would ask you to consider voting for these strong leaders:

John Ditslear, County Council. I have known John since he was serving on the Noblesville School Board when I served on the Carmel Clay School Board. While we were opponents on the playing field, we worked together to provide the best education to our students. John continued his great leadership serving the citizens of Noblesville as their mayor and now is running for county council.

Sue Maki, County Council. I have also known Sue for years with her leadership in the Hamilton County Leadership Academy and several Green/Sustainability Initiatives. Sue serves the citizens of Carmel in the Utilities Dept. and would be another great county councilor. Remember we have three at-large county councilor seats, so you can vote for three.

Steve Dillinger, County Commissioner. Can you imagine in the year 2020 146th Street still a one-lane road? Steve has proven over the years to be an excellent visionary for Hamilton County with not only 146th Street but many, many other county improvements over the years. As with John and Sue I have known Steve for many, many years and know he is a proven leader.

Scott Baldwin, Indiana Senate District 20. Scott’s 25-year experience as a marine and police officer in itself makes him a great person to consider supporting for the Indiana Senate. Scott also is a successful business leader who will represent Hamilton County in the Indiana Senate.

Please vote June 2 and please join me in voting for John, Sue, Steve and Scott. I am confident they will be wonderful leaders for Hamilton County

Bruce Breeden
